Shape-Shifters

For most people, they have little or no power over their transformation. Once it happens, it happened. It’s over. They’re transformed.

But some people can continue to transform themselves at will. We call them shape-shifters. They’re changelings. They could look and be like a normal human if they want — or they could turn themselves into another animal or object if they as they want. Whenever, wherever, and into whatever they desire. Usually.

Sometimes it’s hard to control or get exactly right. Sometimes it happens randomly, chaotically, and out of their control. But one thing all shape-shifters have in common: they never stop changing.

These stories include shape-shifters or changelings — individuals who can alter their shape, form, and appearance at will.

David, a 23-year-old aspiring actor, was stuck at a dead-end job. After five years of trying, despite his best efforts, his life was going absolutely nowhere. No real acting gigs. No girlfriend. Few friends. Life sucked. He was beginning to feel hopeless. And maybe a little worthless, too. Would he ever be good enough?

But then he met Taika, a cute girl with pink and blue hair. He liked her. She liked him. But she had a secret. A very big secret. She was special. And maybe, she realized, he might actually be special like her too — without him even knowing it.

Taika was a “switch” — someone with the ability to magically change her own gender at will. And every time she had sex with someone, she gained a new super power too.

And then aliens suddenly began attacking Earth. Taika was alone with David. She needed a power — fast. But she needed more than that. She needed help. An ally. A teammate.

Luke wished he had super powers, could travel through time, and make a real difference in the world. But it was just a fantasy, a dream, nothing more. Or so he believed.

Little did he know, everything was about to change.

A mysterious man known only as “Mastermind” had recently appeared, using an inescapable mind control power over others to further his diabolical plans. Teaming up with a mad scientist, Mastermind has begun experimenting on those victims he’s enslaved, turning them into part-human, part-animal anthromorph hybrids — superhumanly powerful henchmen who will stop at nothing to serve and obey their new master’s orders… with the ultimate goal of taking over and enslaving the whole world.

Luke, his roommate, and a new girlfriend may become the unlikely heroes the world needs — but first, they must unravel an ancient mystery about a possible alien technology capable of giving ordinary humans super powers.
